Nickelodeon Theatre: The Doors are Open
Columbia’s Nickelodeon Theatre has finally settled into their new Downtown home, located at 1607 Main Street. The Nickelodeon began plotting this move several years ago and has been an integral part of Main Street revitalization in Columbia. The Nick purchased the former Fox Theatre in 2005.
The Nick features a 99-seat theater room with a larger screen and better surround sound than the previous theatre. It also features state-of-the-art projection equipment, concessions and Wi-Fi. The Nick has estimated that it will draw 60,000 people annually to Main Street, and is anticipating opening a larger upstairs theatre in 2013.
About the Nickelodeon Theatre
